Handover Ceremony in Pakistan of FIA Academy Online Training Platform

Islamabad, Pakistan: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) jointly organised a handover ceremony at the FIA Academy in Islamabad on 11th August 2021.

In 2020 the Academy, in collaboration with ICMPD, introduced online training courses for its officers to minimize the impact of COVID 19 on the Academy’s training schedule. These courses not only included basic level orientation training but also more specialised instruction. The success of this training prompted the FIA Academy to develop its own online training platform.

Against this background, and in line with the vision of the Director Academy Syed Fareed Ali, ICMPD supported the FIA Academy to develop its first ever trainer-led online training platform. The solution will not only serve to provide training during the COVID-19 pandemic but also provide the FIA Academy with a forward looking and cost effective approach for future training.

This platform will also serves the FIA’s strategic vision of making the FIA Academy virtual.

This activity is funded by the European Union and implemented by International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) with local partners.
