Awareness raising in Bangladesh to promote safe, orderly and regular migration

Dhaka: We have launched a two-month campaign in Bangladesh to raise awareness on migration issues.

We are arranging workshops and information campaigns with the District Employment Manpower Office (DEMO) aimed at Bangladeshi citizens. A particular focus is placed on expanding the knowledge and understanding of local government representatives. At the same time, we are encouraging their cooperation in conducting awareness raising at the community level.

In the last week, we have covered five areas and welcomed between 30 and 100 participants to each event. Local media is also interested and picking up on our activities.

This activity is funded by the European Union and Switzerland, and is implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
