Description: The purpose of the Budapest Process Working Group on the Silk Routes Region was to address specific thematic issues of importance for the Silk Routes Region. During the period (2014-2016) the meetings of this Working Group are held in support of the project “Silk Routes Partnership Project” and will deal in this period with the six thematic priority areas established through the Istanbul Ministerial Declaration on a Silk Routes Partnership for Migration. The purpose is – through exchange of information, experience, best practices and know-how – to establish priorities for implementation of the Silk Routes Partnership in this field. The meeting will also be used to take stock of progress of the above mentioned project and developments in the Silk Routes countries. This meeting will deal with the third priority area namely to “strengthen the positive impact of migration on development, both in countries of origin and of destination”.
